We are so used to buying everything we need (and more) that we tend to forget that we can produce and fix things ourselves. This summer, the Science Bus is touring across Europe in search of folk remedies. A folk remedy is an everyday trick or ‘life hack’ that everyone can use to make or fix just about anything. Some of these fixes, tricks, shortcuts and recipes have been around for hundreds, maybe even thousands of years. By combining old and new knowledge, technologies and methods, we want to make these clever folk remedies accessible to everyone.
In our workshops at "Wilde Möhre Festival", we are going to cover your essential festival needs: breakfast, toothpaste, sun protection and charging your phone without a socket. Together, we will analyse, share our knowledge, develop solutions and put them into practice. What lives in your yogurt? How can you make your own sunscreen, toothpaste and electricity? Drop by and find out!
